The summer dresses and hip shades are out of season and many of us are getting a little bored with winter coats. Perhaps you feel a little “blah” and need a pick me up to get you look trendy once again. Fortunately for you there are plenty of ways for you to accessorize this winter. Try a hat. Hats aren’t great just for keeping you warm they can look stylish and cute as well. Try hats that match a variety of clothes, colours and occasions.
For example, a soft crusher hat is very popular right now and has been seen on celebrities such as Nicole Ritchie. It’s warm, chic and a lot of fun to wear. Another hat that does the trick of keeping you warm, but also looks great, is the knitted beret – just makes sure it’s tightly knit or else you’re kind of missing the point.
Scarves are cosy, warm and stylish as well. Picking the right one shouldn’t be too hard, just be aware that you should combine it with the right materials, colours and texture of your coat and other accessories you might be wearing. You don’t mix a silk scarf with a bulky sweater or a casual knit with an elegant coat. Scarves can add that perfect touch to a winter outfit, so be sure to have a few on hand.
Add a belt to your sweater and over leggings to give a little shape, or add a brightly coloured belt to liven up a plain coloured winter outfit.
You have to wear shoes, so why not invest in a couple of pairs of boots this winter? They’re trendy, they’re warm – always a plus in winter - and a lot of fun. You can enjoy matching and combining knee high boots, slouchy booties or fur trimmed ankle boots with your clothes this season.
