There are many different wedding dress codes and they vary not only from country to country, but in different cities, climates, seasons, and from black tie to casual attire. One season that seems to bring confusion about what to wear is winter.
This wedding season can be a difficult one to dress for as, with the cold weather, it may be take a lot of work to know what to wear that not only looks good, but that won't let you catch a cold either.
Every woman wants to look good at a wedding, so how can you be sure you get it right? Try following these tips:
If it is a black tie wedding, women are expected to wear full length evening gowns. If not, then you must consider the location.

Some couples are going for the classic outdoor wedding, which, as beautiful as it may seem, could leaving you wanting to go home for a cup of hot chocolate, next to the fireplace, if you are not wearing the appropriate clothing. Maxi-dresses are convenient for the event to keep your legs warm and sleeves are also suggested, although a strapless dress can go well with a wrap or bolero jacket.
Deep rich colours are the norm (no bright summer colours) along with a cape or coat. A fur coat is often suggested as it is warm and adds to an elegant look.
If the wedding is held indoors and is not a black tie or church wedding, you can opt for something that may show a bit more; appropriately. Avoid plunging necklines or high slits.
Some wedding receptions are held in restaurants and, if it is a more casual attire wedding, you can get away with wearing slacks and a cashmere sweater. But come on ladies, it is your chance to wear a dress, so go all out.
